Karla's Daybook

Outside my window...     its a soft day.

I am thinking...     I might actually post to this blog!

I am thankful for...     a husband that doesn't care if I don't get around to cleaning today :)

From the learning rooms...     I have started doing art projects again - the kids are SUPER, happy about that!  Today we may do a watercolor project.

From the kitchen...     We got to go to the clubhouse for breakfast today!  Batter Blasters Chocolate Pancakes and Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pancakes, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries YUM!

I am supposed to make quesadillas for dinner tonight.  That just doesn't sound good to me but one of the boys has requested it for a couple of months now so it would be good if I just made it already.

I am wearing...     comfortable sweat pants and a T-shirt a friend brought me from Las Vegas.

I am creating...     my very 1st blog post EVER!

I am going...     nowhere today. It's so nice just to enjoy a nice, quiet day at home.

I am reading...     Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry.  This is one of Maia's "school" readers.  I like to pre-read them so that answer any questions she may have or actually have a discussion of the book with her if one should arise.  Plus, they're pretty good books!  I didn't read often as a kid, so I'm enjoying all of the books now.

I am hoping...     to get the living room cleaned up today.  It's hard for me to feel motivated to do anything if the house is messy.

I am hearing...     birds chirping outside my open window.  The children playing in the living room.  My sweetie making his energy drink in the kitchen.

Around the house...    yesterday I cleaned out the boys drawers and both kids closets.  So at least the closets are tidy, right?

One of my favorite things...     the sounds of the birdies outside :)  It reminds me of my childhood home.

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Today is Saturday so a new week starts tomorrow.  I'm not ready to think about that yet!

Here is a picture for thought I am sharing...

Taken by my sister, Brenda, at her house in Missouri.
